I complained a lot about Stark under a few recent writers, but I've got to be honest and say that Riri Williams is just so incredibly dull that I would welcome any of those recent writers portrayals of Stark back with open arms.

At no point has Riri Williams elevated my level of interest above the level of 'inoffensively bored'. Shes such a bland, tired Mary Sue.

I disagree. I do see flaws in this series, but despite this I am often charmed by individual issues. I've found something to like in almost every Bendis issue. Whereas I hated most of the recent pre-Bendis writing on a level that makes fingernails dragged across a chalkboard seem like bliss.

I'm actually kind of torn by this book, since I enjoy individual issues, yet between those individual issues I often find myself thinking that the series as a whole could a bit of darkness. Nothing massive, I don't want any Millar type of stuff, but some of the pain one sees in shows like Doctor Who and Buffy would be welcome.
