The Punisher #221 [Spoilers] · [PREVIEW] · Wed Feb 14, 2018 at 09:09:33 am EST

Frank finds someone that can fix his suit after taking out one of the armored exSHIELD goons.

Frank then starts systematically taking down the General's men to flush him. Fury alerts Frank that the General now has access to the nukes and the General wants Frank to leave the control or else the nukes go boom.

Frank flies off to face the General telling Fury that his plan to flush him out worked.

Also Fury again reminds Frank that the US Govt owns that suit and he is only borrowing it....Frank doesn't seem to listen ;\)

That sums it up! It might be also fair warning that all of (5or6?) Frank's acts of punishment in this installment were very gratuitously violent and disturbingly extreme scenarios. The one that was particularly cringeworthy was when he went all Sentry ripping Carnage bloody hell.

So.....Tony Stark vs. Frank Castle coming soon? You know that once Tony is restored and settles in he will hear about Frank using his tech and NOT be thrilled at all. Also Fury Jr. cameos and "Tony Stark" is unflatteringly namedropped a couple times.

armor wars 3? or just a quick skirmish?

Maybe it's overstating a bit and ignoring a possible story arc, but Tony should almost be able to push a button from his lab to shut faux-War Machine down at this point. Or delegate it to Friday.

Should Frank keep the War Machine or perhaps obtain some different super tech like say the stealth tech that The Ghost uses?

You basically answer your own question with your observation earlier:

However he has taken no time to learn how to field strip and repair its weapons and needs someone else to fix the higher functions of the suit.

He shouldn't be relying on weapons or weapon systems he makes no effort to master or understand. It would be just dumb planning and prep for his mission against crime.

Waste of a good cover image/scenario - but to be fair it IS symbolic. Plus, it is misleading 'cuz the inside art is not near as good.
