Great call out with the Suicide Squad comparison. I never thought about that before, but it fits.

It might be said that Legends of Tomorrow is far too pretentious and meaningless, that the series should be titled more firmly - i.e Justice League Taskforce, though again JL:Taskforce wasn't all that far removed from the Suicide Squad format. And I do stress the point that I like the characters in LoT, but even allowing for it being aimed at a teen audience demographic the format and concept of the series has never felt at all convincing to me. It is all too random in its content, choices, and execution. Asking us to believe that a motley bunch like Heatwave, Captain Cold, Firestorm, White Canary and Hawkgirl can become "Legends" if they just manage to help out a timetraveller iron out a problem in history...
If I were so bold to make suggestions then for the next series rethink everything. I don't think it feasable to reserve the same characters and dynamic, nor the timetravel concept. Perhaps then the key for the next season will be other earths, capitalising on what has been set up in The Flash and perhaps inclusing the newly arrived Supergirl at the CW. I think that would be aneat way to go, a plot that weaves its way through alternate earths and builds on what the audience has seen in The Flash, expanding on Jay Garrick's world and possible introducing us to other places like Earth-3 and its Crime Syndicate.
I would love to see that, Earth-2 was beautifully handled and realised in The Flash, It begs to be exploited further.
