Okay, so it starts with an explanation for how Frank got Iron Man's armor. Iron Man is then a bit angry and pursues his armor, finds it abandoned and then gets surprised when the bombs Frank set in it go off.
Frank fights the avengers while Wolverine gets Cole out of town.
Frank uses firepower against Iron Man and is scoring many hits on IM's face plate including one shot that almost hit one of IM's eye slits. THOR is about to stop Frank when he uses Spidey's stolen web shooter to clog THOR's face. He then uses rubber bullets in his gun to temporarily stop Spidey. Black Widow engages Frank, they fight for a bit then Frank is surrounded by the Avengers and Frank states he isn't done but then Captain America states "yes you are done. YOU WILL STAND DOWN MARINE!" Frank's response "Sir, yes sir."
Frank is then put into an underwater prison that Stark setup just for him. He has food/water/air recyling, he can exercise all he wants to stay in shape and has access to TV and the Internet but there is nothing there for him to use as a weapon and that unless someone lets Frank out or the facility is somehow breached he isn't going anywhere.
The last panels show that Cole is far away and carrying on Frank's work....
Interesting conclusion but it doesn't explain how Frank goes from that cell to being back on the steets to be recruited by Ross in Thunderbolts......unless Ross secretly springs him and then contacts him later.
I really enjoyed the issue - as I did the whole series, and most of Ruckas run.
It was well written, made perfect sense, and really showed just how capible Frank is - even against an entire team of Avengers. I would be interested to see a series with Cole-Alves at the helm for a little while.
