But God - you would hope that both of them would aspire for a better future for their kids than the life of blood they lived.

Really, I think this stuff is fine for alternate universe stuff like 2099 or MC2, but it just doesnt work for me in the mainstream marvel universe - not in the least because the most plausable ways of doing it all involve one or both parents being dead for good, and personally I cant see Marvel dispensing of two valuable assets perminantly, nor can I see fans ever warming to the children of Frank or Elektra in the way they do to Frank and Elektra themselves.

In the meantime I read Thunderbolts tentatively in the hope that it doesnt get even more stupid.

I agree that Thunderbolts so far hasn't been that impressive and I'm hoping Frank puts more bullets into the Leader and soon.

As to Frank and Elektra, all they know is killing. It's been shown beyond any reasonable doubt that they only way to stop Frank's mission is to kill Frank, and of course we all know how well THAT works.....(Zombisher, Frankencastle)

As to Elektra, I can't see her as the mothering type either.

But still, would Frank want an heir to keep the war going? he knows that once he's dead there will still be guilty people in need of a bullet to the brain which would mean that someone has to carry on.

As to the current Thunderbolts series, I suspect it will end in 12 issues if it doesn't pick up, but Frank just isn't a team player and yet at the same time he has been so damaged over the years by putrid writing (Frankencastle!!) that he can't seem to sustain a solo series. Plus we have the fact that the Avengers have now decided that enough is enough regarding Frank Castle. If Frank again rampages in the city, the Avengers will have to stop him.

I will say this though, despite THOR initially dismissing Punisher as a mere mortal when Spidey called the Avengers together I do like how THOR studied all data on Frank and that little chat he had with Frank pretty much hit the nail on the head. If anyone knows about "warrior madness" it is THOR.
