I'm still following this excellent series.
For those familiar with this book: it's a 13 issue series. There two issues left and the first trade has been released.
Fury is an hotel room. He's recording the high and low moments of his career which started in WW2 and is continuing through the Cold War. Indochina, Vietnam (where he meets a young sniper called Frank Castle), Nicaragua (where Fury meets Barracuda).
The series also deals with politics and corruption.
It's a great book, like Ennis' greatest hits in Marvel Max. It's very different from the previous Fury Max series. It's much more serious and grounded. But Fury Max is still the same: short tempered and cynical. And skilled.
I recommend it if you haven't picked it up yet.
I bought the final issue today and flicked through it before reading it. The visuals really stuck with me; particularly what happens with Shirley and Pug. To the point it almost made me sick.
Great series but this last issue, it's not for the squeamish.
