I don't think they stayed dead. Kobik had no need to leave them dead. Everyone's just left with their shitty memories of the whole crossover. That's why BW and Rick look bummed.

Then they're just pretending to be dead? We see her funeral at the end as one of the "scars."

Ok but what would be the logical reason for Kobik to leave them dead? She just got through rewriting the timeline to both undo the event but also to leave everyone with their memory of it and for the wreckage of Las Vegas to still be there.

The timeline wasn't rewritten to undo the event. Only NaziCap's false history removed.

"Kobik restored the history that had been corrupted and taken from us.

But she left the scars and the wreckage-- a reminder of our promise: never again."

Why wouldn't she resurrect them? As a lesson in morality?

There's no suggestion at all that any of the deaths were undone. But yes, it would be easy peasy to return them.

    Quote:
You see them in the panel looking sullen talking about how everyone will retain their memories. That's your suggestion.

That only suggests they're dead.

"But she left the scars and the wreckage-- a reminder of our promise: never again."
