    1. Captain Mar-Vell we are approaching the 50th anniversary of his creation and he is expected to appear in the Carol Danvers CM movie in some capacity.

People here are overestimating Mar-Vell's popularity. The character has barely appeared in 30 years. Only the hardest-core comic readers care. He's not coming back and if he did, he wouldn't "break the internet." That said, "break the internet" is hype anyway. Thor is a much more likely candidate than Mar-Vell, and of course Thor has a new movie coming out in 2 months.

    2. I can't believe I didn't think of this one earlier.....especially since his creator just died. The one and only, the most over-hyped, most over-used, and most badly used at times mutant in the Marvel Universe..............that's right bub! I speak of....WOLVERINE!

Possible.

    3. original Nick Fury, the whole story of him killing Uatu and taking his place was so stupid. I can see his return breaking the internet with all the "whitewashing complaints"

Not happening. Marvel has already screwed up his removal so bringing him back makes that screw-up having happened in vain.

    4. The Fantastic Four

This is clearly the most likely candidate. No one has more legacy than the FF who started it all.

marv's return would stir things up. he's been gone since 1982, aside from a few brief returns, but given how he died I suspect his return would cause some controversy.

And yes, I agree that break the internet is hyperbole.

THOR: we all know he has a movie coming and that the alleged death of Foster THOR is coming and there is a Legacy cover by Alex Ross of THOR regaining his power and hammer, so I dont see his return as internet breaking as being obvious.

Wolverine and the F.F. though...
