    I'm fine with him:

    1. Being boring
    2. Being a cheap plot device
    3. Being dumb
    4. Being a man with horrible values
    5. Being someone we don't know very well
    6. Not being a protagonist in an ongoing series

On the above we disagree - nevertheless, there's hope! See below.

What I'm not fine with is:
    1. Him speaking (unless it's to blow something up)
    2. Making him a traditional hero
    3. Taking away his kingship

He works as a mute king. They shouldn't use him unless he's mute and he's a king.

I just don't want him to speak

I don't believe he'll be speaking in the next arc. I also don't believe he'll be a traditional vigilante-style hero. What I actually expect is a redemption story line. As for being king, officially the monarchy was dissolved by Medusa, but I suspect those who followed Black Bolt willingly before will follow him again, although some of the worst of these may turn away when they realize he repudiates some of the worst of what he stood for previously. He'll be sort of a king in exile, I predict, and perhaps a wannabe political reformer.
