    Quote:
Neither of those things is a fast process unless a LOT of money greases the wheels, and even then once all the dust settles we'd still have at least a year before any FF/X-men movies in the MCU were to occur.

That's right. MCU FF and X-Men movies could probably appear in 2020 at the earliest.

    Quote:
Also let's remember the "grand success"/sarcasm of the Fantastic Four movies. Just because Marvel can put the FF back into their studio still doesn't automatically mean a quality FF movie will becoming.

No, but given the MCU track record, they are likely to put out easily the best FF movie yet for whatever that's worth.

    Quote:
Plus the X-men movies will now probably be rebooted...AGAIN, so soon after Days of Future past reset/revised the timeline to eliminate Xmen 3. Hugh Jackman is apparently finished with being Wolverine, good luck on the casting for his replacement.

The Fox X-Men movies, with the exception of X2, were never that good anyway so rebooting is no big deal. Hugh Jackman was a good Logan, but it shouldn't be too hard to find a good actor for the part.

    Quote:
Patrick Stewart back as Prof. X? Not likely.

Eh, he was never that great a Professor X and since he's nearing 80, he's too old anyway.

    Quote:
A quality X-men movie about the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix Saga? Not likely unless they get smart and make it a TRILOGY

No, they can't do that story for a while now because it's coming out next year (and will likely be crap).

    Quote:
Also it is way too late to pencil in the FF and X-men into Avengers 3 and 4 so the "Dream team" movie of RDJ/Evans/hemsworth as IM/Cap/THOR teaming with FF and/or X-men isn't happening since their contracts tap out with Avengers 4 and at least 2 of the 3 want to move on.

Thank goodness the FF and X-Men won't be in Avengers 3 or 4 because that would ruin the story. Do people really see RDJ, Evans, and Hemsworth as some type of dream team?

    Quote:
Who could replace RDJ as Tony Stark? Or Evans as Capt America? Hemsworth's brother perhaps as the new THOR since they look similar and he may come cheaper then his brother in terms of money.

RDJ needs to be replaced. He is now 52. He's too old to keep playing Stark. Liam is a horrible actor so hopefully he's not the next Thor. Disney will find people to fill these roles. Neither Evans nor Hemsworth were huge names before they took these roles, and I'm just fine with people who aren't well known now assuming them in a few years.

    Quote:
So unless they shell out a BOATLOAD of cash to all 3 of them, the "dream team" movie isn't going to occur....plus we'd need a serious world wide threat like Galactus and his heralds.

Disney doesn't need to re-sign these actors. It's not that big a deal to recast after some Infinity Gauntlet reality warp excuse.

    Quote:
So yeah.....I'm not celebrating this. This feels like too little too late as far as recovering the FF and X-men characters.

I'm not celebrating Disney gaining too much power, but I'm celebrating that we will have a much bigger, cohesive Marvel Universe in a few years.
