    Yes he did deal with it... sort of.

    In the Hulk Onslaught story, it had Falc glad Hulk was with his nephew. It has been a while but I think he talked to him about it.

You would think Sam being more socially conscious than your average Avenger would use the story of what happened to his nephew to help the black community or AIDS victims in general.

Sam's always been about helping the community. Telling people about his (possibly gay? possible drug user?) nephew dying of AIDS might be able to help people. Sam's always struck me as the Avenger after Cap most likely to speak at a school assembly to keep kids on the right path. He used to be a social worker.

    definitely remember the thoughts about it.
