    Small week, THIS WEEK.
Which book is MUST READ and which book is must cancel?

    THIS WEEK FROM MARVEL COMICS
    All-New Wolverine #29, $3.99
    Avengers #676 (Cover A Mark Brooks), $3.99
    Weapon X #13, $3.99

I'll be getting the above.

Generally from Marvel I prefer the characters like Wolverine, the Punisher, and Cable, because I think Marvel can still be trusted to write them as originally envisioned. When it comes to classic Silver Age heroes like Cap or Spider-Man, no, Marvel can't be trusted.

Avengers I'm buying so I can talk about it on the Avengers board. But also, I have to say, I enjoyed the first issue of the new story line. It reads like a story that might have been written in the 80s, which is a solid ten (or ten plus) years before Event Comics invaded Marvel in 1998. (Jeez, that was 20 years ago.)

My iconic Avengers were the 1970s Avengers, but I also think the 1980s Avengers were good, right up until 1989, when the Vision was ruined in West Coast Avengers.
