Might Thor #703 isn't bad, but it's not great either. Aaron is making everyone job to Mangog too much to set up the final battle.

"Jobbing to Mangog" sounds funny to me. When Mangog was first created by Stan and Jack, no one but Odin could handle him. Thor was practically a flea compared to him. Thor's "victory" was that he never gave up. He didn't even come close to defeating his foe. He was like Ant-Man versus the Hulk. An irritation at best.

But if I'm not mistaken, later creative teams depicted Mangog as far less powerful, to the point where Thor could actually fight him. It was those depictions (which I admit I didn't read but only heard about second hand) that bothered me.
