Spirits of Vengeance 004
> WAR AT THE GATES OF HELL PART 4! Necrodamus' forces mean to upset the balance and cause a deicidal rampage not seen since the Old Testament! The drums of war beat louder and louder, and the Spirits of Vengeance are the only thing standing between the armies of heaven and hell!

Well, that felt like coasting. As in 1-3, the team moved blindly around trying to find out what's going on and what to do about it. The acceptable energetic artstyle -and less pleasing action choreography- was the same as those 3 issues. The SoV manage 2 go-nowhere encounters. One with a sadly unnamed naughty mystic and then with the fiery dwarf, Ragnar, both of whom relent. But basically it was a recap issue. Basically Lucifer né Satan, now called Marduk, serves up all of Necrodamus' sinister plot on a silver platter to his Damian and Satana.

GR, Blade, and Satana did nothing special. The only bits of note:
-Blaze delivers a funny "3rd person" line
-Hellstorm's dynamic with his father was brief but fascinating
-Marvel manages, believe it or not, to demonize the Apostle Judas even more
-The Covenant finally begins on the last page

Does this team have a prayer of gaining more fan support?

Marduk, is this the same guy that is Hellstorm's dad? Wasn't his dad originally Satan, but then he got retconned into this guy? I thought that Damian killed him. When and how did he come back? What did he do this issue? Also, during the older Ghost Rider run (From the 2000's.), it was revealed that Blaze was really an angel from God. Have they used or touched upon any of this here? It sounds like it could be relevant to the plot.
