Here's the tabulation:
Comichron January 2018

Marvel books in the top 50 - asterisks indicate first issues which speculators still ridiculously buy:

6 Avengers #676
8 Spider-Man/Venom*
10 Old Man Hawkeye*

16 Amazing Spider-Man
17 Phoenix Resurrection #2
18 Astonishing X-Men
20 Phoenix Resurrection #3

23 Phoenix Resurrection #4
24 Phoneix Resurrection #5
30 Guardians of the Galaxy #150 (final issue)

32 Mighty Thor #703
35 Rise of the Black Panther*
37 Rogue & Gambit*
39 X-Men Blue Annual*
40 Avengers #677

41 Venom
42 Avengers #678
43 Captain America
45 X-Men Gold #19
47 X-Men Gold #20
49 Old Man Logan #33

So Marvel got 21 of the top 50. I guess that's OK. Only getting 3 of the top 10 probably isn't.

Of the above books, I only buy Avengers. However, I recently bought three TPBs of the new Venom volume. I may become a fan. I'll post about it.

Sadly, Marvel 2-in-1 #2 was only positioned at 56.

The Avengers weekly is sinking fast. Unfortunately, it probably deserves to. Way too slow.

Sales position is not as important as actual sales as well as dollar and market share.

Marvel over the course of a year have ended up the number 1 selling company for about the last 25 years, so to see them occupying most of the top positions in any given month isnt really news.

The real news is that both Marvels market and dollar share are smaller than they were a couple of years ago, whilst DC's is bigger.

It's indicative of a sales problem at Marvel.
