Quote:That's the contradiction/confusion of seeing a soul for a clone. Why would the clone of a clone get the same soul? How did the clones in Clone Conspiracy get to house the original souls? All of Zola's clones that jump bodies and don't get new near-copy souls like Ben got in cloned body of Peter? Lots of questions that have never been sufficiently and/or properly addressed since the 60s but at least this ish touched on the topic. Will we see soul globe explanations for undead? vampires? vision? hammond? sentient objects? psychic entities? special (Hand) resurrections? time travellers etc...3. Next issue we get a new Hornet. So I'm guessing he connects to this Thorne guy (Cassandra's brother?) they keep talking about.
You just stumbled onto next summer's 97 part crossover. "Secret Infinity Clone Soul Conspiracy Invasion". Spidercide will revealed to be the Supreme Intelligence and be ruling the Kree Empire using the Soul Gem and an army of clone souls to conquer the universe. Eventually you find out the Jackal was really a member of the Enclave and helped build Adam Warlock and that Tony Stark is really Uncle Ben's son that he gave up for adoption.
They are actually putting Ben back to the guy we love. They fixed him and Kaine's degeneration. He thought of others before himself, and they said once and for all that he is the same soul that he always was, it kept boomeranging back to each incarnation. It's a clumsy get out but I will take it. He too was worried he was the clone of a clone and not really the person he always was.
He isn't Ben 27 anymore. He is simply our Ben Reilly, trying to change his ways and fix his soul a piece at a time and thank God Kaine got his degeneration healed. He has suffered far more than most. He deserves that.
Thrilled. Next a dye job and the follow on of the Janine Godbe storyline. Excellent excellent. Its been a crap day for me. I'm so Happy about this at least. Made my evening.
