At last, a Spider-Man book with Peter taking direct course of action as he seeks answerrs as to where his daughter is, taking out a whole bar of villains (heh, Villains at Vinnys'), and The Rhino takes a pounding the likes of which seems inspired by what Peter did in "The Horns of a Dillema" many years ago.

As Pavlovianly titillating it was to see the costumed cornucopia, they ruined what would have been an extremely satisfying handling of Rhino by writer and Parker. Their easypeasy defeat minimalized Spidey's failure turned success vs Rhino - and it ended up being only a "very good" handling. Thanks for the footnote comparison - hopefully can look that up before next ish.

Annie and Normie in the meantime have a heart to heart, with Normie telling her "a child without a parent is only a person", Annie reckons Normie can be saved

Good scene for each of them.

Liz finally becomes remorseful for what she's been up to lately as Ms. Janurary's betrayal and the prospect of losing her son to the Osborn madness finally gets to her...but as MJ confronts her and she reaches out for it too late?

The jury is still out on that. It might be sincere -which could work- or it might just be a moment of weakness for her or even a (very good) act she prepped like when she conned MJ to wear it.

    Meanwhile, the Mecha Goblin rises

The giant robot angle will have way more personality than a run of the mill Sentinel or a generic filler robot. It will be more believable for a little kid vs Spidey - win or lose. Plus, it's such a relief from the cover which looked like he was to be wearing a less threatening body cavity seat and stilt extentions.

Hands down the best Spidey book of the month.

Not sure, hope to read PPtSS and/or Venom today or tomorrow. But it was very good - again. The art and dynamic layouts were very satisfying.
