J.M. Dematteis solidified the marriage with Kraven's Last Hunt, and has said he believes the marriage will come back eventually, since "it is a good idea and in comics good ideas always come back."

He is also still working and making deadlines, and has a history of good character work for both Pete and MJ.

What about him being to Spider-man what Dan Jurgens was for Superman in Action comics, someone to spend a few years righting the ship so others can set teh course people want.

Of course, I don't believe the marriage will be restored, and I won't buy Spider-Man regularly unless it ism so...

Well amazing 800 might, keyword might, wrap up the Mephisto Mindwipe and restore things. That is the rumor.

It has been 10 years since Joe Q shoved that story down our throats.....a story so out of character for the hero......much like Emerald Twilight was for Hal Jordan and it took 10 years I believe to restore Hal and the GLC.....

Renew Your Vows while interesting at times, is merely a bone thrown to the fans to attempt to pacify the haters of the Mephisto Mindwipe, and no I am not pacified. It is an alternate reality that will likely never impact the main time line at all, and if the marriage does get restored in the main books then Renew Your Vows likely gets canned. So I'm not investing in that at all.
