So, is DM out of Superman's league, or in his wheelhouse for physical fight?

On the one hand, Superman can fight guys like Capt Atom (Charleton precursor of DM) and Firestorm. But CA/FS has never (to my knowledge) been shown as a casual reality/molecule manipulator like the Molecule Man or somesuch.

So, would DM therefore be able to physically obliterate Superman with a have of his hand a la Rorschach? If not, why not?

What are Superman's options outside of a purely physical confrontation?

I think the obvious answer would be Manhattan could disperse Superman like he did Rorschach, but then there have been instances when Superman could withstand that sort of effect.

For example, Darkseid's omega beams can teleport things, and it's usually been explained that they work by deconstucting the target atom by atom and then sending those atoms through the beams to another location. Or he could simply disperse the molecules, vaporizing a target. He has done this to Superman before (teleporting him). Yet later Superman was shown to shrug off the same effect.

The Linear Men once put Superman on trial for changing the course of history when he defeated Imperiex. Manhattan can see the future but he can't change it. He's just a puppet who can see the strings.
