    When I think of that story in the future, I will picture him chomping on a cigar and surrounded by brightly colored, electrified Kirby Krackle. Actually, now that I think about it, that's probably how we should always picture him.

It's how I like to think of him, especially reading how against the wishes of everyone else in the bullpen, Kirby walked down the stairs to confront some nazis who told the front desk they wanted to beat up the creator of Captain America.

Kirby took no crap from punks.

Nah, it ain't that... it's more about personal hubris and understanding that anything you do can and probably will be altered by someone in the future, so don't get too attached to 'your interpretation', especially if you base it on facets of your real life.
