I haven't seen the film. I heard about this and scene a clip on line where Supermans has a smug smile as he easily beasts Steppenwolf.

So, doesn't this beg the question of why you need the Justice League when you have Superman? What is the point of all the other heroes if Superman can single-handidly solve the problem in a few minutes at best?

The other is a common criticism is Superman is overpowered. Unless you have kryptonite or another Kryptonian outnumbering him nothing hurts him. The complaint is there is no suspense in his films and he is even harder to relate to. Doesn't this film only reinforce that idea?

Really, he overshines everybody in the movie in other ways too. Outside of Wonder Woman. As a character she more than holds her own. I found her to be the most interesting character, again.

It is a bit of a problem. Particularly that the villain was not able to match up with Superman alone. That was a big problem for the movie at the end.

I guess one could make the case that Loki in Avengers was not a direct match for at least two members of the team, but at the same time the threat was more the force being brought in that was clearly winning the battle slowly. Loki was the leader and powerful enough.

This movie did not accomplish that feel at all. It felt very rushed with trying to get a ton of information in a fairly short period of time and hope that we cared about these characters.
