Asking for a friend. Okay, I'm asking for me. I can be my own friend. I miss the feats.

The sense of wonder.

A fully realized Superman, that combines his Kryptonian heritage, with his Earthly upbringing, and sacrifices neither.

Feats. Yes, he's does them all the time, but I want feats that impress me, rather than confirm things I already knew he was capable of. Superman using the Cosmic Treadmill? Cool. Superman doing something I couldn't imagine? Better.

Stories like RAB is on about, though I don't find New Superman to contain them either. The knee-jerk approach to Superman is deconstruction, depowering, delimitation. There's no construction or building, as could be done. I really like Jon Kent, but the idea of Superman having a son, and the exploration of that idea, has barely happened and for obvious reasons.
