During the fantastically acted double date with Lois & Lacy, Superman escapes by somehow ringing the doorbell from inside the apartment.

Did he use:

a) super-ventriloquism to make the doorbell sound

b) telekinesis to actually ring the doorbell. TK being established (sort of) as a Kryptonian power in parts II and IV.

I say it's ventriloquism. If you watch carefully, you see Superman make an odd mouth gesture as the doorbell rings.

The way the script has it is that the first door-bell is Lacy, then after she comes in and banters with Superman, he flies out and rings the doorbell as Clark.

But, the fact that Golan and Globus were cheap Skinflints, much like the Great Wall of China scene which was supposed to be super speed but became telekinetic vision due to budget cuts, this scene was slightly altered.

So yes, the way it plays out, it’s implied to be ventriloquism. Much cheaper to do than the way it was written!
