When Byrne came on Superman in 86, there is no doubt that Supes was the undisputed top dog in movies, media, recognition, etc.
But that was a long time ago.
Since the 90s, certainly Batman has been more successful in media and merchandising. So why isn't the "grand" Bendis treatment and hoopla therefore going to Batman, the big kahuna?
Certainly, Batman is somewhat more in Bendis' wheelhouse considering his street level runs w/Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
I know Bendis chose to do Superman, but I wonder if he or DC ever considered him doing the bip hoopla treatment there. And if not, why not?
It's easier to move off Dan Jurgens and Peter Tomasi, than Scott Synder and Tom King.
