While I like some of the ideas, I don't like some of the others.

But, Lex and Brainiac telling the world is Clark Kent would have been an interesting story (much more interesting than Lois telling the world Superman is Clark). But I don't like what would have come after that...

Honestly, I'm glad this proposal never happened.

Did they not predict the 21st century very well at all. Optimistic? Oh, 2000, you were so naive and stupid.

I also think it is interesting that they say Superman comes in 15 year waves, but there will last for the next 1000 years.

It is also no secret that Millar was no fan of post-crisis Superman, and I always suspected Morrison was not either.

Moorison likes archetypes, that is what it would have been. That is what his Batman was. I found that boring. Clark Kent I find one of the most interesting parts of Superman.

Most importantly, there little theory was more or less correct. in Early 2001, my 2nd favorite Superman story ever came out "Whats So Funny About Truth Justice and the American Way?"

I think that did sort of give Superman a renewed purpose. It was a bit ahead of schedule compared to 9-11 sort of instrumenting it, but most good Superman stories I can think of from then, were about Superman standing against moral weaknesses and for honor and humanity in the face of villains.

Even the Pres. Luthor stuff had Superman taking a backseat for his fear for being honorable to the country's laws. As Superman of course would.

It was even enough to be ever present in minds while the New 52 Superman was disliked by so many, just in time for the 15 year interval to end, and Superman to become a family man.
