    1. hammer changes: apparently sentient; talks to jane-thor; thor can't wield; odin can't wield.

To add a bit here, the hammer's origin was changed a bit. It contains a giant cosmic storm. The Mother of all storms or some such. Odin defeated it after a very long battle. He trapped it in Mjolnir.

Something, it is unclear what, caused it to awake fully when Thor was not worthy. This force, about on par with Odin, resisted Odin's attempts to control the hammer. Parts of it make sense, but not all of it.

    2. Odin: no real showings to say whether he's weaker, but has a low end showing fighting jane-thor.

To a point, but if the hammer contains a being about on par with Odin it was helping more than anything. It seemingly has been helping her more than it ever helped the real Thor.

    3. hammer "leaving": nick fury told thor that "gorr was right" (another way of saying that no god was worthy), which caused thor to have a pity party with himself for 3 years running, and now he can't wield it. goes by odinson now.

It has been implied that he has been able to use it for a bit. Even into Secret Wars he became worthy fighting the Beyonders with Hyperion. He seems to not want to wield it at the moment.

The self doubt aspect is spot on, but it is strange to me that the hammer works that way. As if self confidence is all that matters than all sorts of pretty bad people should be able to lift the hammer. Doom should have been able to outright. So should others.

I still think what annoys me the most is this aspect. They could have done something much cooler with Thor becoming unworthy and then a redemption story but never really did. A major loss really. As it could have been pretty cool.

Look Raist bunnies...
