I don't mind the current run, but even if I did there's no way it's destroying any legacies of any kind.

All required to change direction is a new writer with a new take (or the old) of the Thor mythos and it will be as if the Aaron run never happened.

Back when Marvel were laying the foundations of the MU and absolutely the pinnacle of creativity within the format (Stan & Jack on Thor and FF in particular) Marvel was cool, counter-culture, non-popularist and certainly ploughing their own furrow both politically and creatively.  Don't kid yourself that any subsequent period was more relevant in shaping the greatness that was the house of ideas. Now, either as a result of being owned by Disney or not, they are heinously leftwing and slavishly feministic; ironic as they're a bit late to the party in the modern, developed western world i.e. their core markets. Superfluous virtue-signalling at its most pathetic.

Their innovation is at a standstill. Modern stories are just regurgitated over and over. All that grabs the attention these days are 'deaths', countless No 1 relaunches and intentionally provocative SJW nonsense, which has been egregious in its level and extent. Ever wondered why?

So yes, they are destroying their legacy with gimmicks and the no-more-than conceptual stoyboards for big profit movies. To say their tact is exploitative is an understatement. The Fantastic Four, unarguably one if not the most significant lines in Marvel's firmament has been cancelled, because they 'don't want to promote other people's movies'.

That some true believers and nu nerds alike are in denial about this - and there are many vociferous voices with agendas to grind, is amusing. Comicbook readers are not renowned for their objectivity.
