Subj: Speaking of He-man, I noticed some episodes from the 80s share the same plot of forced gladiator arena battle for the hero

It's pretty sad the DC's He-man is more "Thor"-like/-esque than Marvel's Thor. Abnett was writing it and it rocked. He should have been given Thor since his God Complex with Tony mini was awesome (and Scot Eaton is a better artist than Dauterman).

...similar to the Planet Hulk comics, and now Thor Ragnarok movie. The scene in the trailers where Thor waits for his opponent in the arena and the Hulk busts out of the gate....the same thing happened to He-man..
He was being forced to fight in a gladiator ring by those who kidnapped the Dragons of Eternia, when the gate busted open to reveal a giant robot as his opponent. Tsk-tsk...the best things about thor ragnarok has been done to death in children's cartoons in the 80s.

If that was the only episode to share the same plot of the movie, i can almost forgive...and understand...but that gladiator arena thing has been featured in several episodes of the masters of the universe cartoon. There was even a character named "Gamemaster", instead of Grandmaster. Ohhhh...and there was also an episode where he-man's opponent became his friend and helped him escape and win the day...hmmmmmmm

Ohhhhh...about Hela...there was also an episode of He-man (a 2-parter) about a powerful godlike witch named Shokoti, who was a huge threat in Eternia in the past, was trapped by the Ancients, but when freed, she actually beat He-man and she unleashed a terrible giant demon (cough*surtur*cough) on Eternia (which he-man beat).

And speaking of Surtur, there were several all-powerful demons which threatened Eternia in the old the Gramalkin and the Energy Beast.

Nice going Marvel Studios, serves you right for letting Chris Yost plot the damn thing. I will call it now...of all the comic book movies in 2017, Thor Ragnarok will come in dead last at the worldwide box office. Still profitable...maybe.
