In Oeming's Ragnarok, Thor severed Asgard's involutary servitude to those "shadow gods"...not that he destroyed "those who sit above in shadows"...he merely cut their influence on Asgard. The fact that they are still around, somehow, do not really undo Oeming's Ragnarok story. What you're proposing is that those shadow gods somehow still have influence over Odin, the hammer...and actually, Asgardia and everything Asgard-related.

It's also very complicated. You will have to explain Odin being influenced...then the mother storm...then Cul, the All-Mothers...etc.

If a writer can wipe away this current status quo in one comic book issue, I am all for it. I don't care whether it's not written well...I have no faith in Marvel anymore...I just want Jane Foster out and Thor back in, as fast as possible.

The way I will do it...Jane Foster dies, and it is revealed that the hammer chose to bond with Jane because it knew it is aiding Thor's true love, but unfortunately (fortunately for me), it cannot prevent her inevitable demise. It's not perfect, but, again, I don't care. Jane is dead, good riddance.

This isn't entirely accurate I'm afraid. TWSAIS were shown to be reliant on the cycle of Ragnarok and the Universe level of energy it produced to survive. Much like Galactus feasting on worlds. The implication was by cutting them off from this sustenance they would in fact be destroyed.

I think Jazz said it best, undo it pretend this farse never happened. Pick up on JMS's initial intention for the Thunder God.
