You should mark that there are spoilers here.
But yeah, it was terrible.
I'll admit it, I was excited to read Marvel Legacy. There was so much mystery and talk of bringing back older and eighty billion times better characters, but it sucked. Essentially this is one big exposition dump for what's going to happen in the next few months.
Right, aside from the "buried Celestial" story, it was just teasers for forthcoming comics, and even the "buried Celestial" acts as a teaser set-up.
Quote:Oh and if you wanted to read about the Avengers 10000 BC, guess what? They're in it for the first five pages and then they're gone.
That was the most disappointing part. There was no explanation for who these people are. Yes, Odin and Agamotto have been established some previously, but we don't know who the incarnations of these other characters are and the issue never explains. And then we don't get to see them fight the Celestial. I'd much rather have seen that fight than see Jane, Sam, and Riri fight some giants with an obvious predetermined outcome.
Quote:Jane tells Iron Heart to give the Avengers cry and Riri can't even freaking remember it! How the heck can you be Tony Stark's replacement when you don't even know the words "Avengers Assemble"?
That seemed inconceivable. Riri is supposed to be a genius. How could she forget the word "assembled"?
Quote:Listen to me now: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Agreed. It's expensive for a comic that's essentially a teaser.
the flashback to Avengers B.C. implies the Rider of that error is the same spirit that possesses Robbie Reyes....which I thought was the spirit of his evil devil worshipping uncle.
Johnny Blaze still hosts Zarathos last I checked and it would make more sense that was the Rider of that era.
But no the SJW version of the Rider gets used...
