Not bad. Not bad at all.

It does raise the question of why the phoenix would need jane to surrender mjolnir to it, but that ship has sailed.

I'd wager that Jane holds the key to unlocking the God Tempest. Which is why the God Tempest chose Jane.

Although if you were to look at the totality of Thor's history, the God Tempest couldn't possibly exist in the hammer. Mjolnir's been destroyed, been inhabited by an Enchanter, was destroyed again and been re-made by Surtur.

The only viable explanation is that Asgardian history is malleable and constantly in flux. The Fates themselves get re-written (the current Fates seem utterly divorced from the Shadow Gods). This version of Asgard is one of many, and exists only as long as Aaron writes it. The next writer will pick up the title and very likely retain portions this Asgard, but will no doubt branch off wildly.

Fraction's Odin, for example, scorched the Earth (originally called Aesheim) during the original battle with Cul. I think that whole aspect of their history is now gone. Cul exists, but he's not the being he was during Fear Itself. He's a variation.

I don't like this constant changing of Asgardian history, but it's almost a certainty, IMO. Even post-Ragnarok under JMS, Thor restored Asgard as a bronze age Camelot Kingdom (complete with no sewage system). Once JMS left the title, Fraction had the Asgardians wearing space-armor and wielding Kirby tech.

There is almost a complete disconnect between the various runs. Every writer gets their own Asgardian continuity.

In other words, making sense of post-Ragnarok THOR continuity is a fool's errand.
