It seems to me that if the movie were still being shown in a large number of theaters it would be be pulling in a lot more money. It does a decent daily and weekly total numbers. Of course that would be true for many movies. Seems like a year ago I did not think the movie would have the legs for a long run.

Currently, Thor Ragnarok is just shy of $850M world wide. Domestically, the movie just passed Iron Man 2. Considering the movie has been crushing Justice League at the box office, based on average take for each theater, I am surprised that the movie isn't staying the theaters longer or staying in more theaters. The movie still has legs.
We just saw The Last Jedi this morning. And while the movie had its moments, it came across as good, but not great. Whereas Thor Ragnarok literally 'rocked', The Last Jedi did not. I am sure that the folks at Disney aren't complaining considering the success of Marvel and Star Wars.
I am looking forward to Avengers Infinity War as the Thor story continues....
