I grew up more on Beast Wars Transformers(which I still love to this day....Dinobot has always been my fav!), as opposed to the original G1 and other Transformers cartoon series. I watched some of the ol G1 cartoon as a kid, but was really too young to remember much. I was around 10 when Beast Wars came out, so I guess that's part of the reason I prefer it to the original. I have a few Transformer comic mini series from DreamWave during the early to mid 2000s such as War Within and War Within The Dark Ages and a couple others. I'd prefer recommendations on more recent stories(mostly within the last 10-15 years), but if any of the old Marvel stuff is recommended, then I'll gladly give it a look see.

Also are any of the recent Transformer cartoons any good? The last one I watched was Armada lol so it has been awhile! I don't know a ton about the original Transformers, but my favs out of the ones I do know are Optimus Prime, Grimlock, and Ultra Magnus. I'm also curious to hear who your favorite characters are from any Transformers era, Beast Wars/Beast Machines included and why they're your favorite?

And in case you're wondering, yes I enjoyed Beast Machines as well, though not quite as much, however I found the ending to be somewhat disappointing.

I dont watch any of the recent Transformers cartoons, although the entire G1 series is now available in a very cheap box set, which I would recommend.

As for comics, More than Meets the Eye is probably the best Transformers series ever written - and I've read and owned every Transformers series since 1984.
