Zemo in the Captain America movie obviously had very little (none?) connection to the comics. But what were your thoughts on him there? I really didn't see him as "Zemo". To me he was just a random character, and I had absolutely no strong feelings either way.

Helmut's my favorite Marvel character so I was psyched to see him on screen. But when they made him Sokovian that sort of ruined the movie version for me. Him being German and descended from a Nazi war criminal is sort of the point of the character.

That said one thing I've always noticed about Helmut is that his plans are convoluted, seemingly contradictory, spiteful and he often plays the long game...willing to lose in the short term to reap a benefit in the long term. So his mindf*ck at the end of the movie seemed like classic Zemo. Helmut's the Little Engine That Could of villainy...he doesn't let a loss get him down for long.

And I liked the moment between Black Panther and Zemo near the end. I had never thought of those characters having a scene together but it made me want to see Black Panther and Zemo meet in the comics.
