It was an error to have a longterm romance certainly, and yes there is no way to reconcile it with a married Superman, unless you pushed it to his earliest years, but I am uneasy about the extent to which the stories and developments of the last six years have been so heavily censured and deleted from the canon. Still, I don't see why this development should mean that the stories in Superman/Wonder Woman didn't still happen, despite its unevenness that series did have its moments of interest and I don't like the suggestion I should dismiss its significance as a series.
Right? It's as if the time vested/money spent mean nothing to DC. Also, wasn't it just 20 issues ago that Steve mentioned Diana's relationship with Superman. WOW!
I am sad that it is deleted from existence. Not that the relationship was depicted in the best way, but it did show something different. A relationship between Supes and WW...on some level is expected. Should it have lasted as long as it: maybe not. Would it have superseded his relationship Lois, her relationship with Steve: no But at least it was explored.
Sheesh. Certain exploration is a good things and I'm sure both could have learned something from the relationship and made them appreciate love their 'established' partners on another level. Oh well...
