Quote:"They" is the movie theater keeping with their "ladies night" theme and showing Wonder Woman. I don't know if you think that Women are pushing men out of the movie theater or that some weird feminist group is keeping men from the movie theater. It's Alamo Drafthouse doing a "ladies night" showing of Wonder Woman.
Quote:Have you ever been to a ladies night? No? Probably because you weren't invited. Why? Because it's a ladies night.
Quote:I get it. You don't think its fair that you can't watch the movie in the time and place you want to watch it. But life is full of figuring out a way around stuff and this is the easiest thing to find your way around. There's literally another showing at the same time, but not on the same movie screen. And even if you do win it, you won't be welcome at such an event.
Quote:Wonder Woman is a great movie. Enjoy that it is a great movie. Everyone has access to it. Everyone can enjoy it.
Quote:If you're arguing that you, as a guy, want to barge into a ladies night showing of Wonder Woman, you're totally missing the point of Wonder Woman.
There are some lawsuits about the legality of "ladies nights". I am not sure if they have gone anywhere though. Really, if a guy snuck in they would not kick them out.
This is still a whole bunch of who cares. At this point go to a theater. They will take your money and be done with it. If it was some systemic thing where Warner said no men allowed to see the movie than there would be issues. One theater making a choice is not really worth much.
One is not a trend.
