What the heck? What issue 'revealed' Cyclop's "PUNCH DIMENSION"?

Read some comments about Ultimates^2 #9 and "they" started talking about this pseudo-DC'sSpeedForce environment. Huh?! Is this a thing?! Must have totally missed that tidbit.

Mixed feelings about it. Must get more info first.

And now, America Chavez maybe can deliver more of punch with a crimson 'optic beam' blast.

The Cyclops entry for the 1983 OHOTMU (Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe) says something to that effect. The Cyclops entry for the 1986 OHOTMU says he's solar powered. So I would consider the dimensional aperture explanation null and void as a later handbook entry contradicts it.

I think it was original information cobbled together by Mark Gruenwald. Sometimes I think he explained things that didn't need to be explained and if it's an explanation provided in the handbooks and not the comics I consider it to be spurious because the comics can always contradict the handbooks later. The comics shouldn't be bound to what the handbooks invent. The handbooks shouldn't have original information IMO.
