-Another (consecutively unoriginal but equally effective) family-centric spotlight one-n-done.
-Wow, everyone from Bobby's hometown is SO... wrinkly. Either that or the art isn't for me. Great cover though.
-Missed opp for either his preachy father or the putzy Purifier leader to work "that time Iceman froze the world" into their arguments how Iceman's power is too dangerous.
-Easter Egg (and another missed big revelation opp): Boom Boom survived the M-Pox.
-No wow factor to the totally believable battle, no footnote placement in relation to S.E. unfortunately, no happy ending to the depressing family dysfunction, no real reason to react to this completely servicable story except...
"Temper Tantrum!" Okay, not THAT much
but the thing that bugged me the most was the inclusion of POLARIS in the casual tweets on page 1 where Bobby casually comes out of the closet over Twitter. This totally undermines the surprise value of her return in this week's X-Men Blue #8 - that or it totally spoils her business-as-usual fate surviving that arc. Not only that but what she claims about thinking he was gay way back then seems totally insulting to him -AND OLD READERS- with this forced retcon opinion of hers.

You mentioned Boom Boom surviving. I wasn't even aware that she died. When did this happen? Polaris died as well? I like Bobby, but I don't think that he can sustain a series for a long time. This will probably be canceled soon. Out of all of the X-Books since The Resurrection, this is really the one that sounds most interesting to me.
