Quote:We've got Old Man Logan in X-men: Gold and Jimmy Hudson in X-Men: Blue. If we choose to count her, we've got X-23 in the Wolverine title. Does original Logan even matter any more?
I hate Logan with the power of a thousand suns. But as much as I hate to admit it yes we need him.
If we didn't need him they wouldn't be giving us Old Man Logan, Jimmy Hudson and X-23. (and that other one Daken)
Same with Jean Grey...if she wasn't needed then this annoying teen version wouldn't exist.
Marvel doesn't want to use the originals for some moronic reason but they're content to give us watered down clones, bastard sons, distaff versions, alternate timeline doppelgangers etcs.
Marvel should either not use any Wolverine (my dream) or they should use the original. Keeping the original dead/off the board while using all these knock offs is weak. Embrace Logan for who he is or let him stay dead. Don't leave him dead and continue on with an army of knock offs.
What evil force is at work inside the offices of Marvel telling them to sideline their original characters for all these new knock off characters?
As will all currently replaced or changed characters.
That's just how superhero comics work.
You'll learn to recognize these cyclic patterns after you've been reading for a while.
