Its so hard to express the sarcastic inflection implied with plain text. Not so much the 'mutant' angle specifically - or at all really. This franchise long ago disallusioned me that EVERYTHING had to be mutant related when they unoriginally revealed Warlock had to be "a mutant" of his Magus' tech-race to be on the New Mutants.

I can get alien mutants, Technarchs included... even though Warlock's mutation was questionable. Negative Zone stretches beyond credibility though.
