I read this mostly for the X-Men 2099 stuff, but have some side-questions:

    Quote:
    1) So this series is about the X-Men from around the early 60's stories, who've been going through time and space for sometime (and getting alterations, like Angel with the flame-wings), trying to get back to 616? What's the exact story here?

After real adult 616 Cyclops killed Xavier, real adult 616 Beast went back to Uncanny X-Men v1 #8 (precisely, the day they first met Unus the Untouchable). Adult Beast's plan was to bring Teen Cyclops (Tyke) to the present and show him what he did.

The whole team came with, and they got stuck in the present (their future). They tried and tried, but they could not travel back to their 616 past (it's something specific about them, since other people haven't had this problem).

So they've just been adventuring in the 616 present. During this time, Teen Angel fell in love with X-23 and got energy wings from the Celestials (Black Vortex). Teen Beast has become proficient with magic. Teen Iceman found out he was gay. Tyke got to adventure with his dad in space but has generally been boring. Teen Jean discovered her Phoenix future and is stressed.

    2) How is it Magneto is their leader?

This happened after the Inhumans vs X-Men event. Magneto was secretly trying to get them back to their time, but there's not really a lot of rhyme/reason for it.

    3) Jimmy Hudson is Ultimate Wolverine's son from Ultimate Marvel. How did he survive the end of Ultimate Marvel? I thought only Morales/Spidey and Ultimate Thor's hammer were all that was saved from that alternate reality?

Very recently, he just showed up. The team detected a mutant running around, and it was him. He's just one of the few crossovers from that universe. No explanation really.

Well, Ultimate Reed Richards is around too. And it seems the whole Ultimate universe survived. Sorta (See Ultimates #100).

    4) Bloodstorm: I know, in 616, Storm became a vampire for awhile. This is that same one, right? How did she get turned, and how did she return to normal?

Well, she's the Mutant X universe vampire Storm. Mutant X Beast cured her of the sunlight thing and blood dependency. She's still a vampire in all other ways. All of this happened back in the Mutant X series (late-90s/early-2000s).

    5) Just a non-X-Men Blue-related question: How did 616-Jubilee become a vampire, and was she ever returned to normal?

While the X-Men were staying in San Fran, there was the "Curse of the Mutants" event (2010), where they dealt with a bunch of vampire stuff. Powerless Jubilee (from the "No More Mutants" thing) got caught in the fight and was sort of being wooed to be the Queen of vampires (something something Xarus son of Dracula something). Intervention-type stuff happened with Wolverine and she hooked up with The Forgiven (a group of vampire do-gooders) that helped her control her vampiness. She's supposed to be wearing a magic medallion to walk in daylight.

    6) Why is Jimmy not able to know that Angel once had feathers?

He just didn't know.
