Why doesn't she stick with her older self, at least for a while? We have no idea but apparently she doesn't since she won't be in Red.

Why doesn't she stick with Rachel? We have no idea but apparently she doesn't since she won't be in Excalibur.

Well, the answer to both of those is rather simple: because she doesn't belong in either place. Your future self (even if only potentially) is probably the worst person for you to be with. None of these teen O5 people belong anywhere in the present. Yet they don't seem to have any other place to go... still.

The argument for that is based on the idea that you shouldn't know your future. But JeEn already knows her (alleged) future in gory detail. Also JeAn is not JeEn's future self any more. There has already been a major divergence.

I'm really surprised at how infuriated I am to learn that Jean, Jeen, and Rachel won't be sticking together. That was the story to tell. Too obvious? Must Marvel always reject the obvious? Sometimes the obvious is precisely what readers want because it's logical, meaningful, and true to the emotions of prior events. Sometimes the obvious tale is the tale that integrity wants to tell. Remember integrity, Marvel? I'll wait while you google it.

      Ugh.

Jean and Rachel has always been the story to tell, but Marvel has never wanted to. Yet Rachel complains about never having time to connect with her mom. *eyeroll*

Absolutely. I can't believe it hasn't been told. It's so freaking obvious, necessary, appropriate... Ugh.
