I think that there are a lot of characters out there that are really cool and interesting, but for some reason, they don't get used all that often. They're more niche characters, but a lot more can be done with them, and it's always cool when they show up. Here are some on my list:

#Exodus- I like the character, but sometimes it seems that he can be written as a real maniac (Kind of like Silver Age Magneto?). He's very powerful, and he's not a full-out villain (Like The Shadow King or Sinister.). I think that Mike Carey did some really good work with him.

Not just sometimes. He is a Silver Age Magneto wannabe. His whole shtick is like, "WTF Mags! You used to be so awesome kewl." Our Lord Magneto became too rational, so they needed a replacement. He's absolutely a full-on, baby-killing (attempted), mass-slaughtering villain.

Yes, I would like to see more of him.

#Selene- One of my favorite villains. I'm not even sure why, I just like her. Maybe it's because of the whole magic angle. She used to be a pretty big enemy back in the day, but sadly she's not used that much anymore.

They should really make a whole event around her... oh wait. She was never a big villain back in any day, but she's recently tried to be. She's also not used any less than she ever was.

She's never really had a strong motive, especially one that applied well to the X-Men, imo. I don't really think she's archvillain material. She's Magma's nemesis. I don't even think she ever belonged in the Hellfire Club.

    #Sebastian Shaw

The one true Black King, imo. I think it's really sad what became of the Hellfire Club, starting in Claremont's latter years.

#Black Tom Cassidy- I like his friendship with The Juggernaut

And there's really not much else for him. Maybe he can pester Siryn or Banshee, whenever they becomes relevant again. Like Juggernaut, he's really just a two-bit criminal, but Juggernaut has the Chuck relationship going for him, whereas Tom doesn't. Maybe he's worthy Hellfire material, but I prefer members not be criminals.

#Meggan and Widget- I guess that you can say the same for some of Captain Britain, but these two just seemed to have gone to limbo and haven't come back.

Widget/Kate Pryde really has no more purpose here in the 616.

Excalibur! Excalibur! Excalibur! Excalibur! Excalibur! Excalibur!

#Living Monolith- Whatever happened to him? This guy can be quite a threat if he's written well. Even more-so than The Juggernaut.

Well, he recently (2015) tried to literally become the new Juggernaut... and failed. Cain seemingly destroyed him, but I'm sure he'll be back in a decade or so.

    #Chamber- Whatever happened to him?

He's currently being used in Generation X. Or was.

Those are all that I can think of right now. Does anyone else have any underused or underrated characters that they would like to see used more often?

Too many to list.

I want:
- The New X-Men (any of the Kyle/Yost crew, but especially Rockslide, Dust, Mercury, Anole, Hellion, and Loa)
- The "REAL" Exiles (Blink, Nocturne, Mimic, Morph, etc.)
- Lifeguard
- Sage
- Omega Sentinel
- Husk & M (only two GenXers I liked)
- Skids
- Cecilia Reyes (deserves more than the odd cameo)
- Maggott (yes Maggott)
- Gossamyr (for years I've wanted her to pop up in the cosmic series)
- Joseph
- Electric Eve (who? mutant drug addict from the Morlock mini)
- Stacy X
- Adam X (hey... get those two together!)
- Siena Blaze (bring her back!)
