    Some other random thoughts:

    Quote:
Creed seemed willing to follow Laura's leadership. That may be partly because they fought during the Weapon H story line and he got pretty badly cut up, she did too, and she didn't flinch from continuing. One of those things where the bully's victim fights back hard enough that the bully reconsiders and the two become, if not friends, at least allies. But also Laura is just awesome and Creed may sense it. Certainly her no-kill rule will always irritate him. I don't see him following her long term. But for this one issue he did it and it interested me.

Hmm... Maybe he was more placcid than usual which is easy in the company of known good guys; plus, he was just getting his bearings after being 'coma dead'. Also, supervillains seemed more inclined for team ups of convenience with the X-men than the other way around. The jury is still out -and should be- on the long lasting effectiveness of his "15 minutes of Inversion fame".

GABBY: "Oh man. You Captain America'd."

(Which was very close to the words that were running though my own head.)

Ditto. \:\)

Like everyone else, I'm wondering what will become of the Murumasa armor. I'm thinking it's probably too precious/dangerous to constantly just wear. Knock Laura unconscious and now you've got the armor. That's probably not OK. So Laura will likely either hide the armor somewhere or give it back to Murumasa for safekeeping.

Safekeeping is a good idea. It allows for instant No-Prize reason why she wouldn't just run to the closet to don it when things start to hit the fan in an X-men crisis - every Tuesday.

    Quote:
In one of the greatest displays of Squirrel Girlian unbeatableness ever displayed, Laura removes the armor and just talks to the bad guys.

LARUA: I am an Orphan of X.

YEP, awesome and believable moments! HA, funny and true adjective for the unbeatable display!

That is the kind of charismatic one-liner a presidential candidate (or Steve Rogers) might utter.

What will be OFFPUTTING - is if she ever masters emulating Cap's super penchant for ricochet throwing.

Yes, I see the day when Laura will run for president. She's that awesome. On the first day of her campaign she'll release a dossier of all the terrible things she did when she was under the influence of the Weapon X program. And then every superhero on the planet will endorse her. Because she's that awesome.

Heh. Naw. About as likely or undeserving as any and ALL these Hollywood celebs that are already promising to toss their hats into the ring: https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/celebrities-who-might-run-for-president-in-2020.html Not even Howard the Duck will make that mistake (for a 2nd time).
