Quote:Although I'm not sure who created the character I am sure that her first appearance was actually in House of M.
Wikipedia agrees with you. Man, my memory is really unreliable. I would have sworn that when I saw her in some Bendis story, I already knew who she was from the Peter David series. Apparently the exact opposite was the case.
Quote:She then appeared in Peter David's X-Factor series. The first storyline included her getting connected with X-Factor Investigations as they tried to figure out what caused M-Day.
And as far as I knew, her only unusual ability was to know things.
Quote:So is this an example of a writer redeeming a character created by another writer?
I think Layla Miller was actually a halfway decent character in House of M. I don't know how that happened.
Ha... maybe this is a case of "create enough characters and some will be good"?
I really liked Layla in the early X-Factor stories... moreso than her House of M appearance.
