They don't have to be SUPER obscure. Just exclude the founding members of these teams:
1963 X-Men
1975 X-Men
New Mutants
Generation X
Peter David's X-Factor

Also exclude Havoc and Polaris, and Gambit and Rogue.

You get the idea.

From the 60's: I know she is not a mutant but I really miss Candy Southern. She was a good character.
From the 70's: Lorelei from the Savage Land
From the 80?s. A lot! Rusty Collins and Skids, Artie, Leech, Taki and all the Fallen Angels. Too bad the second series drawn by Collen Doran wasnt published. Oh, and Gosamyr!
From the 90's: well, none
From the 2000's: all the studens of the X´-academy like Anole, Pixie, Rockslide....
