I don't buy or really read X-Men Blue (I did read the first storyline or two.), but I did see a (Fairly negative.) video review on a recent issue, and the reviewer talked about Magneto making a time machine. Um, can he do that? Is he really that smart? Is he on the same level as Doctor Doom now? We have seen examples of his intellect in the past (When he made the Savage Land mutates.), but this seems to be beyond him. Come to think of it, I would like to see more of Magneto's smarts (Didn't he also build Asteroid M?), but him making a time machine just sounds wrong to me. I didn't read the issue, can anyone give me specifics, and does this fit with Mags? Thanks.

It's unknown how much of his current idea has been lifted from others. He's certainly smart enough to probably understand Doom's notes. A completely original Time Platform would be an astounding feat for him, but I don't think it's out of the question.

Heck, the Steins (Runaways parents) created Leapfrog. I hope Magneto is a peg or ten above them.

Genetics to the point of cloning, rapid aging, and bestowing superpowers (Savage Land Mutates).
Computers/Robotics to the point of rudimentary AIs (not as awesome as Vision, but Nanny was his). He was once able to magnetically recode Omega Sentinel in just a couple minutes.
Engineering to build various aircraft and spacecraft, mutant power nullifying gadgets over vast distances, and yes, Asteroid M.
