The Nine Noble Virtues
of

The Thor Message Board

1.Courage
Thou shalt always follow that little voice in your head. No, not the one telling you to burn the world.
The one that says
"Hey, why the Hel am I still lurking?" That voice is right.
We won't tolerate homophobia, racism, ageism, sexism, or uh..faithism, if that's a real "ism".

Have courage, be yourself. We'll respect you for it.
Don't be afraid to say what's really on your mind, even if you appear to be the only one with that perspective.

Unless it's that whole "Burn the World" thing. You should see a Therapist about that one.

2.Truth
If thou dost dislike something, sayeth so unto us.
But give reasons. No "Thor sucks because he's a dumbass" posts. Let us know WHY you think he's a dumbass. Cite examples. Draw pictures. Use sock puppets. Be truthful. Be honest. And don't be afraid to disagree with anyone, even Moderators or Comic Professionals. Everyone has equal say.

( But Mods have the final say.)

3.Honor
Thou shalt not flame thy brethren or sistren. Starting wars is best left to the professionals.
Honor any Moderator or Comicboards.com Owner decision and please do not discuss these decisions on the boards.
Any queries can be made via the email links at the top of each page.

4.Fidelity
Thou shalt be known by one name and one name only. ( You can have a name with a few words, but not multiple names.) Thou shalt not use another's name for the purpose of deception, as doing so will result in permanent banning from the board.

5.Discipline
Try to control the urges, please. No VS posts and No stats posts.
What's a VS post? "Can Thor beat Venom/Hulk/Evil Ash/The Whizzer?"
What's a stats post? "How strong/fast/powerful/tired is Thor?"
There's a VS board for all of these queries.
PLEASE utilize it, or risk deletion and possible banishment. Verily.

P.S. This also applies to Superman/Thor discussions from JLA/Avengers. See here

6.Hospitality
Thou shalt do thy best to avoid personal insults. Always treat other posters with respect and allow them their own perspective, even if they ARE wrong.
Attacks of this nature will not be tolerated and can result in ...you guessed it...banishment.

7.Industriousness
The owners of Comicboards.com have devoted a lot of time, effort and money into ensuring you can have a place to discuss comics in an advertisement free environment.
As such, we would ask that you not spam the boards, or flagrantly post links to other boards without prior discussion with the Moderators.
Links as part of one's signature after a Thor-related post are accepted, as long as they're also somewhat related to the comics medium.
No porn or money-making schemes.

8. Self Reliance
Thou shalt follow these virtues in the spirit they were written.
It is up to every poster to try and keep the board the civil, interesting and comfortable place it is.
Don't make the Mods the bad guys. Be your own Mod, and save us coming down on you.
Contrary to some beliefs, we really don't enjoy going off at people!

9. Perserverance.
These rules are subject to change and offer only a rough guide to behavior expected.
Mods reserve the right to change these rules at any time.
Ignorance of the rules is no excuse to break them.
