the reason i suspect is quite simple and quite logical considering in hindsight his run on the book= He Didn't need to! His writting and story telling skills did not require any gratutious "hulk vs. thor" sales enhancements== he sold the book strictly on his own merits and in my opinion - did a hellofajob!! That is a confident writter and one worthy of respect! No wonder when looking for previous thor quality we always look at Walt's run! Naw, he didn't need a thor/hulk fight= he did it on his own! But honestly? it would have been Very interesting, yes, Very interesting indeed!- Maybe if enough of us request it???

Joe,
Very good point regarding the fact that he didn't need to. I understand that completely. No one appreciates his run more than me. But the thought just crossed my mind that it would have been pretty cool. Imagine if Walt did a one-shot featuring Thor VS or teaming up with the Hulk? That would be a huge hit, I bet.
