The last page cliffhanger to Avengers iCOmic: Millennium #1 was up near the best time travel caper twists seen in a long time with the dramatic last page where Cap proposed that HYDRA made the law-of-physics breaking time-machine but they aren't causing trouble with it, in the present, 'cuz the bad guys don't have to change anything more because they're going to 'win'. A very thought provoking plot pitch. What to do? What to do?

See #1 here:

The heroes predictably bumble thru some era jumping reconnaissance in #2-#4. On the one hand it's offputting and annoying that these players have the audacity and temerity to exact temporal justice - not to mention the tired convenience of Tony being master temporal mechanics for a plot device rush. On the other hand, the art has been nice & clean; plus, all the trouble they've encountered, so far, had a few fun moments.
Still have to read 5-6 and hope for a satisfying payoff - but not really expecting one. Anyone feel free to spoil me how it all turns out if this digital adventure ends up a bust.

Avengers: Millennium 004 (2015)
> At a secret Hydra installation hidden away in rural Japan, the Avengers discover a time-portal that sends them on an adventure that spans millennia. But what kind of bad guys have a time machine they don’t use to change the past?
> Japan 1945: How do three 21st-century heroes make their way through a Japanese Army encampment without disturbing history? Iron Man gets a new set of armor, Black Widow gets to save the day, and Spider-Man makes an unusual friend.
